Location: Washington State Park - 9-miles south of DeSoto, Missouri on Hwy 21.

Distance: 10 Miles Roundtrip. There is also a 1.5-mile trail (1,000 Step Trail) and a 3-mile loop trail (Opossum Track Trail) available for hiking.

Water: There is no mention of available water in the trail brochure and I have not been on this trail myself.

Parking: Overnight parking is available at the dining lodge parking lot.

Comments: This trail is relatively new and is not mentioned on the State Park Website for Washington State Park. The trail traverses approximately 10 miles of rugged Ozark terrain characterized by a typical oak-hickory forest, frequent rock outcroppings, and numerous grass-covered openings known as cedar glades. The trail begins from the northwest side of the dining lodge parking lot and is signed with orange arrows in a counter-clockwise direction. There is one backpack camp that groups of 7 or more are required to use. Smaller groups may camp anyplace as long as they stay 100 feet from the trail and 200 feet from other major public use areas.
